Interior Designer “Katrina Antonovich”  is an icon in the Design world, and she dedicates her work to creating interiors comparable with works of art.

What determined your passion for design? Tell us about the moment you decided this is the way to go.
I can't imagine my life without passion. Passion in everyday life, passion for love and in who I am & what I do. I think these two concepts are closely linked. The whole world around me can bring me a creative feeling. This state of mind is clearly visible from my early childhood.

What and/or who are some of your design inspirations?
My biggest and brightest idols in design and fashion are- "Versace Fashion House". I think Donatella is one of the world ’s most magnificent figures, and I would like to create the same format and concept of the company. And in a sphere of architecture, I am inspired by the greatest Zaha Hadid - the first lady who received the prestigious architecture award.
What makes you stand out amongst other designers?
I will be short - my taste, my vision, and my outlook on life. I do not try to stick to rules, I am a person of free flight of fantasy.
I always say being in love with our work is always the key to achieving better results. Are you in love with this job? What do you love most about being an interior designer?
Being an interior designer for me is not a job at all. It is my life. I truly and fully love everything I do and get the joy of creation. As I said earlier, without passion to what you do you cannot reach the top of the Olympus of Design. Step by step I move forward to my dream; I'm evolving, I collect new knowledge in this sphere, and I hope for excellent results.
How important is a perfect chemistry between you and your clients to achieve the best results?
To be a designer - means to be a psychologist. One of the basic studies that help me to understand my customers is psychology. Design is a process of communication, that is why it is very necessary to have a deep understanding with my clients.
How would you describe your work style? Do you have any kind of “signatures” that help to identify your projects?
My signature style is my special approach to all the clients, ALL-INCLUSIVE in design and architecture. I introduce innovative ideas that make the project incomparable. The philosophy of my work is to give to clients a feeling of absolute comfort at every stage of creating interiors and make this world more beautiful. Each architectural project is special for me.
From your point of view, is design an art or a science?
Design for me is much more beyond these two definitions. It is the universal constant that combines art, science, creativity, and engineering - the luminary of ideas and techniques.
What advice do you have for young designers or architects reading this interview?
My biggest and most important advice is to have unlimited love for what you do. Some may call it to work, but for me - it is my lifestyle. So, just love your life, and you will love everything your hand or mind will touch. And, of course, never stop learning and improving your skills. Always try to get new knowledge and be brave in trying new ideas and one day you will create something great, that will make you proud of yourself.

What is your fashion Mantra?
Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say...  My fashion mantra has been changing all my life, but always held the same meaning - be yourself, be the person who you want to be, be your own hero.
What is your beauty and skincare regime?
My beauty and skin regime is very simple - healthy sleep, organic food, drinking enough water, and sport. Nothing fake and artificial, all-natural. And love... Love to the whole world.

What other hobbies or interests do you have when you are not designing or working?
It is very difficult to imagine me not working. My work is my lifestyle, so, I'm always in a constant search for new ideas. But there are things that bring me more inspiration - my family and my home. It is the place where I come back after long business trips, so, it brings me desired peace, tranquility, and comfort. My house is a place where I feel good and where I always want to return.
What advice would you give to young women who want to succeed in their careers?
My main advice is to be bold ( brave) in achieving your dreams and plans. Do not be afraid to experiment and improvise, try to be unique and one of a kind. And of course, it is very important to be in love with everything you do.
How do you achieve work-life balance?
Balance and harmony is very necessary component in the life of every person. Nothing can cheer you up more than your family members. Even after the hardest, the hectic, and busy day you try to get home and see those who will ease the sorrow and will renew a sense of optimism and courage.

What are some of your latest and upcoming projects for the new year ahead?
There are lots of new projects in the foreseeable future. A large number of new design projects in Africa, a new office in Miami. And we keep on growing all over the world - Luxury Antonovich Design currently provides design and architecture services in the Middle East, USA, Nigeria, and Shanghai.
