 Hidetoshi Nishijima is one of the most established and popular actors in Japan.
Actor Hidetoshi Nishijima spoke with "Joe" Apichatpong Weerasethakul, a renowned Thai film director at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya at the 34th Tokyo International Film Festival.
This week, "What Did You Eat Yesterday?The movie, an adaptation of a hit manga series he starred as a lead character is also showing in theaters.
Director Joe is well known from his distinctive style narrative and artistic visual he captured at the locals in all his films, like "Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives", "Blissfully Yours", "Tropical Malady"
His Cannes Award winning film "Memoria" also premiered in Japan this Monday. Actor Hidetoshi also liked his way of interpretation about "Sacred" and "God's Spirit" in the woods and feeling of secrets through his latest film.
"Sacred is our awareness, when you talk with someone you are connected, it's magical kind of camera. It not born to please everyone, it's a kind of personality", Joe said.
Joe said at Tokyo International Film Festival that he continues to cross the borders by not limiting himself only in Thailand, but he also finds the other countries like: Latin America or Europe and maintains his views on the films, he also said that he still needs to do the films in Thailand, his hometown as well, to support the new generations and the democracy movement in Thailand.
