OTSM: Hi Nancy, Please briefly tell us about yourself.
Nancy: I am Nancy Ioannou, I am 26 years old and 1.76m tall. I am a dynamic optimist and I am passionate about life and the challenges it brings.
OTSM: How and when did you discover you had a passion for modeling?
Nancy: Growing up I have always loved fashion and photography. At the age of 18, I decided to take a chance on casting, and that was when I realized that this is what I want to do!
OTSM: In your own words please describe your style as a model?
Nancy: I like to take artistic photos that are aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and make a woman stand out in a powerful way without looking desperate for attention or being too sexual or exposing any sort of nudity. I do not think about the stereotypes of society, I do whatever I like and it expresses me as a person.
OTSM: Do you remember your first experience in front of the Camera?
Nancy: Wow! of course, I remember my first experience, It's something I will never forget. I was so anxious and scared as I was trying to pose. It was a new experience for me so it took me a little while to gather my nerves together and be calm, but I still enjoyed the overall experience.
OTSM: How big a role does modeling play in your life?
Nancy: Modeling for me is a way of life it's not just about photoshoots because when you get on set it's more than just posing, It's also about bringing the concept and idea to life. It is a school of endurance and acceptance of yourself.
OTSM: Who or what is your biggest motivation in life?
Nancy: I think my biggest motivation is to become better at learning To love myself, I want to achieve my goals but above all - I am happy with everything I have and this is the most important thing in life ( to be content with what you have).
OTSM: What advice would you offer to other aspiring models who wish to set their own style and not be like everyone else?
Nancy: My contribution is that they have to do what expresses them and their passion, they have to be one hundred percent authentic in all they do, they should strive to be unique in their own beautiful way to be able to stand out from the crowd. They must remember that it takes hard work, love, patience, and humility.
OTSM: What Would You Consider the Most Important Components of Your Style? And Do You Feel You Have A Signature Style as a model?
Nancy: I know I have a special look that adapts to any situation that is asked of me. My green eye color also stands out. I am a very flexible model and I know how to represent the exact concept the client or photographer is looking for during a photo shoot.
OTSM: If you could change one thing about the fashion and modelling industry, what would it be? What would you improve?
Nancy: I think I would like to change the strict beauty standards and create an avenue where Fashion can reflect each person individually and everyone to know we are also human and not just about being tall, thin, and having great features but that there is more to Models.
OTSM: What is the most challenging part of being a model?
Nancy: The hardest part I think is not to let your insecurities get the better of you and you end up rejecting castings and you also have to continue learning how to love yourself and teach yourself how to become tougher otherwise the game is lost.
OTSM: What are some of the biggest hurdles you have been faced with as a model and how did you overcome them?
Nancy: The obstacles I had were more psychological! When I was younger I suffered from panic attacks! and I overcame them with psychotherapy and even presently, I still use the techniques and coping skills I learnt in therapy to cope with my anxiety or panic attacks when they do happen. No one is perfect, we all have our flaws but we must learn to love and accept ourselves wholeheartedly.
OTSM: If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
Nancy: I would not change anything. If this question was asked of me in the past I would probably say a lot of things however I am in love with who I am and how I look. I love myself and all my imperfections.
OTSM: What are your personal qualities that distinguish you from others?
Nancy: I would say What sets me apart is my honesty and kindness to others.
OTSM: What’s your most memorable shoot?
Nancy: It was winter and I had to take a photo in a forest for a lingerie company and all the time I had a deer with me looking at me, it really was the most beautiful experience ever.
OTSM: What has been the highlight of your career as a model till date?
Nancy: It is a photo from a photo shoot that was taken for a good purpose. It went viral and we were amazed to find out it was seen by more people than they expected.
OTSM: This is a question I always love to ask my Queens during interviews what does the word “Women Empowerment “mean to you?  And how does it help women?
Nancy: For me, it is a very important issue !! Now women can prove that when they are united they are capable of doing everything to change laws, to achieve things to make their lives better, to have more job opportunities in professions that used to be done only by men! Women's solidarity is very important in 2021 and I hope in time even more women Must love each other and unite for good.
OTSM: I am absolutely happy to read your answer, "Women Empowering Women" is a topic I love because I feel more women need to celebrate each other, we rise by lifting each other up and supporting each other, So thank you for that lovely response. Which brings me to my next question: Why is it so important for you to run a business that empowers women?
Nancy: I think it's very important to run a business that can inspire other women to want to achieve their dreams and to also help them do this if I can. I love women, their mind, their stubbornness and as an independent woman myself, I feel it's nice to be able to discuss great ideas with other empowered women.
OTSM: How do you empower women through your work?
Nancy: In addition to the photos and Products displayed on my page. I want every woman to see it and feel empowered and beautiful, and for her to embrace herself and know she is doing the best she can. I project through my story and my daily life is not always painted, I have my imperfections like everyone else but I try to also dwell on positivity and believe that we are all beautiful in our own unique ways.
OTSM: What are your latest and upcoming projects?
Nancy: I have several Upcoming photoshoots in the nearest future and promotions of more beautiful work and products, I can't reveal much now so please stay tuned.
OTSM: What was the most surreal moment you ever experienced during a photoshoot?
Nancy: It was a photoshoot in the center of an old town where people, mostly tourists, came to take a photo with me, It was such a beautiful feeling I would never forget that experience.
OTSM: What are you doing when you are not working?
Nancy: I like watching movies, seeing people I love, and visiting places I have never been to.
OTSM: What is your beauty regimen and how do you stay in shape?
Nancy: My beauty regimen is simple: In the morning and evening I wash my face properly and moisturize it. I do not eat sweets. I never sleep with makeup on. I drink a lot of water! and I usually make homemade facial masks to avoid using harsh chemicals on my face.
OTSM: Any last words you’d like to add?
Nancy: Thank you so much for this feature and To love all the beautiful readers; Continue to have kindness and love in your heart.xx
