Fashion: Loewe's Latest Collaboration With Studio Ghibli Has Spirited Away Fans Screaming!
Loewe’s second collaboration with Studio Ghibli is yet another adoring tribute to a beloved Hayao Miyazaki classic: Spirited Away. And what a year for Ghibli heads galore, with this collection, a brand-new Miyazaki feature How Do You Live? and the opening of the world’s first Ghibli theme park in late 2022 to look forward to.
Co-founded by Hayao Miyazaki in 1985, Studio Ghibli’s exquisite storytelling is matched by a tireless dedication to craft in order to bring their enchanting films to life.
Each item in the line features one of the iconic characters from the Oscar-winning film, each displayed in either embroidery or marquetry. Some pieces also draw influence from the traditional Japanese ‘boro’ technique, which utilizes indigo-dyed scraps to create a patchwork effect.
With a focus on tactility and three-dimensional form, LOEWE artisans have brought Spirited Away's iconic characters to life.
