The designer Arthur Arbesser draws inspiration for his Autumn Winter 2024–2025 collection from the enchanting world of Viennese shop owner Monika Kaesser, whose sophisticated taste and dignified demeanour have enthralled the designer since boyhood. Taking inspiration from recollections of Kaesser's unique trinket shop, Arbesser embodies her perfect taste and flair in an artistic lineup honouring her legacy.

Arbesser's autumn collection is based on Kaesser's elegant motions and formal manners, which have always emanated charm. Arbesser's creative journey begins with a fortuitous meeting that develops into a full-day dialogue with Kaesser. He aims to replicate her unique sense of style while fusing it with his own artistic sensibility.

Layered over A-line skirts, the collection features breezy opera jackets made from silk duchesse, Kaesser's favourite fabric. patterns on pleated skirts and matching blouses are inspired by glassware from Kaesser's business, including a green stem glass from the Arbesser family's personal collection. These patterns are evocative of early Paul Smith themes.

Featuring ruched tank dresses and hand-painted tulle jackets, Arbesser's iconic colourful checkerboard motif breathes new life into the designer's refined yet whimsical aesthetic. The collection is given a whimsical and nostalgic touch by the geometric designs on turtlenecks and bralettes, which are evocative of the 1920s potato printing method.
