Just Cavalli Resort 2026: Villa D’Este Gets a Dose of Chaos
For Resort 2026, Just Cavalli took the rulebook, ripped it up, and set it ablaze on the shores of Lake Como. Under the bold direction of Daniele Lombardo, the brand delivered a collection that was equal parts irreverent, maximalist, and mischievously glamorous—set against the polished splendor of Villa D’Este. It was a deliberate culture clash, and it worked brilliantly.
Rather than playing into the postcard elegance of Italian luxury, Lombardo used the villa’s historic grandeur as a visual foil—a backdrop to highlight the brand’s love for chaos, youth, and unfiltered self-expression. The result? A glorious riot of color, print, and texture that didn’t just disrupt tradition; it danced all over it.
At the heart of the collection was unapologetic maximalism. This season, everything was dialed up. Scarf-inspired silk separates exploded with Persian Tarot prints, Tropical Garden florals sprawled across tracksuits and minis, and the house’s new signature Gold Palm motif shimmered through the line, anchoring the visual whirlwind with a thematic thread.
Pastels—typically serene—were weaponized into statements. Think sheer lilac gowns with feather trims, mint ruching that moved like water, and blush-toned separates that exuded more punk than pretty. The delicate hues only made the silhouettes feel more daring, a playful inversion of expectations.
Sportswear motifs pulsed through the lineup with defiant energy. There were cycling shorts in slick Lycra, animal print soccer jerseys, and retro tracksuits that felt pulled from a glamorous fever dream. Tennis skirt sets met club-kid edge, creating a mood that was equally Malibu and Milan.
The final look sealed the message: a sheer black gown, boldly embroidered with the Gold Palm in glittering sequins, hugging the body like a second skin. It was glamorous and confrontational—a red carpet moment with claws.
This Resort collection isn't just fashion—it’s a manifesto. Just Cavalli, under Lombardo’s direction, doesn’t whisper its presence; it screams it, sings it, and sparkles unapologetically through it. Resort 2026 is a masterclass in contradiction: sporty yet couture, vintage yet futuristic, Italian in location but Los Angeles at heart.
