GMBH SS26 Menswear Collection: The Future Wears Its Heart on Its Sleeve
GMBH’s Spring/Summer 2026 menswear collection stormed Berlin Fashion Week with a vision of radical softness wrapped in armor. Designed by Serhat Isik and Benjamin Alexander Huseby, the collection titled “Rituals of the New Dawn” was a poetic yet unflinching meditation on identity, protection, and transformation—all rendered through their now-signature fusion of clubwear, tailoring, and cultural commentary.
From the very first look, GMBH reminded the crowd: masculinity isn’t one-dimensional—it’s tender, spiritual, defiant, and evolving.
Silhouettes shifted between structured and fluid, with strong shoulders, cinched waists, and elongated limbs balanced by sheer fabrics, ethereal draping, and diaphanous overlays. Think: tailored techno-romanticism. Slim-cut trousers in iridescent silk were paired with see-through tunics and sharp leather vests. Sculpted blazers hugged the body like armor, while flowy mesh shirts exposed it without shame.
The collection leaned into ritualistic elements—symbolic stitching along spines, sash-like drapes across torsos, and knotted belts that evoked ceremonial dress. These weren’t just design details; they felt like intentional acts of reclamation—of one’s body, culture, and spirit.
Color told a story of rebirth and resistance: deep obsidian black, mineral grey, and sand gave way to ethereal whites, blood reds, and spectral metallics. A long, flowing coat in solar gold shimmered like light breaking through storm clouds—equal parts divine and dystopian.
Textiles were deeply layered and symbolic. GMBH blended recycled synthetics, vegan leather, sheer mesh, hand-dyed silks, and traditional cotton with signature technical finishes. Some garments looked scorched, distressed, or weathered, reflecting both ecological themes and personal endurance.
Footwear was bold: chunky, structured boots, many laced tightly or buckled high, reinforced the brand’s commentary on protection and self-expression. Jewelry—a mix of religious iconography, chain links, and futuristic talismans—added another dimension to the story.
The models walked with quiet intensity, as if embodying a spiritual procession of modern warriors—each one navigating identity in a fractured, fast-moving world.
Ultimately, GMBH SS26 was not just a collection—it was a statement of intent. A layered love letter to queerness, diaspora, sensuality, survival, and the possibility of a softer future. In a fashion week often defined by spectacle, GMBH gave us something deeper: intimacy as power, and fashion as a medium of transformation.
