Zimmermann FW25/26 'Hypnotic': A Lyrical Return to Earthbound Elegance
Zimmermann’s Fall/Winter 2025–2026 campaign, titled Hypnotic, drifts gracefully away from the sheen of hyper-digital storytelling, embracing a visual narrative rooted in tactile beauty and introspective allure. Under the creative direction of Nicky Zimmermann and shaped in collaboration with Emil Vrisakis of Smile Agency, the campaign channels a sensory and emotional stillness, a soft yet striking ode to grounded femininity.
Captured by long-time collaborator Benny Horne, the imagery feels like memory made tangible. Models Annemary Aderibigbe and Lexi Boling move through natural, unstyled terrain fields of wild grasses, warm light dancing across their silhouettes, and a horizon that blurs the divide between the physical and the poetic. There is no urgency to impress, only a sense of belonging, of being.
This mood of unforced elegance echoes through the collection itself. Ethereal silk gowns, gauzy lace layers, and nostalgic silhouettes are juxtaposed with distressed leather boots and windswept textures. Accessories evoke an heirloom sensibility – oxidised metals, irregular forms, and tactile finishes that feel passed down rather than newly born. The palette remains dusky and evocative: charcoal, sepia, and blushed neutrals that carry the softness of memory and the depth of time.
In an era increasingly dominated by digital velocity and curated personas, Hypnotic offers a different vision – one of reverence for craftsmanship, slowness, and the tactile truth of the natural world. This is not escapism, but rather a recalibration. A return to what feels real.
Zimmermann’s evolving narrative doesn’t reject modernity; it reimagines it. With Hypnotic, the brand leans into sensuality, nuance, and the profound beauty of what cannot be replicated. It’s a whisper in a world of noise, a timeless portrait of femininity that is romantic, intuitive, and deeply human.
