Maeda Kentaro is a rising Japanese actor as a member of the Gekidan Exile group. He is chasing his childhood dream to become an actor in a Japanese superhero film (Tokusatsu) “Kamen Rider”.

Before graduated from university, he mentioned about his dream “I couldn't bring myself to tell people around me that I wanted to work in the entertainment industry. I had no confidence and felt embarrassed. But then it was a time to think about it during my search for a job, and I wondered what kind of work I wanted to do. At that time, the pandemic had begun, so I couldn't leave my home for a year. I thought about it a lot during that time, and then I decided to work for acting and took the first step.”

In 2023, Mika's BL novel “I Cannot Reach You” (Kimi ni wa Todokanai, 君には届かない) is adapted into a live-action film. Kentaro Maeda and Haru Kashiwagi (member of J-pop group Bullet Train) starred as a couple in the series. This film presented him as a popular BL drama actor globally.

His upcoming work is a Japanese movie, “Eiki no Back Home” (栄光のバックホーム), which is set to premiere in Japan in November 2025.
