Khoki Spring Summer 2026 Collection: A Fabric House of Collective Imagination
For Spring Summer 2026, Khoki offers not just a collection but a lived-in vision of community, creativity, and craft. Now operating as a six-person collective, the Tokyo-based label staged its showroom around the installation of a full “fabric house”, a symbolic structure that made clear its priorities: domestic intimacy, artisanal process, and the joy of collaboration.
This season marks a shift from a singular narrative to an evolving, iterative practice. Signature pieces reappear in refreshed forms while new concepts enter the fold. Shibori tie-dye emerges as a defining motif, its circular, mandala-like patterns finding their way onto tailored trousers, sun-faded tees, and slim leather jackets. Workwear remains central but softened and reimagined: bleu de travail jackets morphed into button-up knitwear, oversized suits relaxed with splice detailing, and distressed denim patched tenderly with lace and broderie anglaise familiar garments re-scripted with a poetic sensibility.
The expanded design team brings playful eccentricities that underscore Khoki’s democratic ethos. Accessories in particular stand out as conversation pieces: leather bags embedded with shrink-wrapped cutlery, cardholders concealing miniature sewing kits, and objects that are at once humorous and functional, domestic yet elevated. These details extend the metaphor of the “household toolkit”, folding everyday utility into luxury with disarming wit.
Material play anchors the collection’s charm. Shibori silks, supple leathers, and delicately embroidered lace create tactile contrasts that balance roughness with refinement. Each garment reads like a piece in progress, the seams and surfaces speaking to process as much as product, an embrace of imperfection as storytelling.
What results is a wardrobe that sits comfortably between vintage familiarity and contemporary invention, equally suited to semi-formal settings and playful everyday wear. It is a collection less concerned with spectacle than with intimacy – a curated domestic ecosystem where garments feel not just made, but lived with.
With Spring Summer 2026, Khoki demonstrates the quiet power of collective imagination: fashion as home, as collaboration, and as craft made communal.
