Maison Rami Kadi unveils “Blooming Universe” at Diana Ghandour Studio, in collaboration with Belvedere Art Space

Beirut, Lebanon — October 2, 2025. Maison Rami Kadi presents Blooming Universe, the designer’s second art collection following his successful debut, Highway to Heaven. The exhibition opened at Diana Ghandour Studio in Gemmayze, Beirut, in collaboration with Belvedere Art Space, and will remain on display for one month.

With Blooming Universe, Rami Kadi continues on the cosmic theme present in his previous collection, further elaborating on it with more direct artistic representation of the universe itself.

“I often wonder about this grand design, so intricate and delicate, so beautiful and perfect, so infinite and divine,” says Kadi.

“I am an artist. I work with fabric and threads. This is how I communicate my infatuation with the universe.”

The collection unfolds as an exploration of universes blooming in color, light, and texture. In total, it comprises 22 works featuring methods and techniques present in the Maison’s Haute Couture, such as Swarovski crystals, French knots, raffia threads, and glass beads on fabric.

“Hard work and dedication go behind these pieces. We work and rework until we have something we are proud of. I feel like we owe it to the beauty of the universe to give our best, to create the most beautiful representation of it.”

Among the highlights of the collection is The Four Seasons of Light, a four-part installation that offers an interpretation of the cycle of light: one frame depicts the void, dark and infinite yet sprinkled with flowers; another reveals the genesis of a glowing sphere of light; the last two join as halves of a radiant circle, echoing cycles of birth and renewal.

Other statement works include Cosmic Waterfall, where lines of glass beads drip from the canvas onto the floor, dissolving boundaries between artwork and space; and Chromium, a nine-panel chromatic constellation of color fields.

The exhibition’s centerpiece is The Cosmic Console, a collaborative creation by Rami Kadi and renowned interior designer Diana Ghandour. Designed as both a functional object and a work of art, the piece features a glossy lacquer finish and a sculptural form that plays with shapes and imagination. Its surface, capable of shifting colors, underscores its one-of-a-kind nature. The console embodies the exhibition’s central theme — belonging to the universe while remaining practical — demonstrating how furniture can transcend utility to become an artistic statement.

The partnership with Belvedere Art Space builds on the success of their earlier collaboration and underscores Belvedere’s role in fostering innovative artistic expression.
