Ernesto Naranjo SS26 Collection: A Poetic Dialogue Between Art, Emotion, and Design
Ernesto Naranjo’s Spring/Summer 2026 Collection marks a transformative chapter in his creative evolution – an intimate reflection of artistry, emotion, and purpose. Amid an industry often dictated by spectacle and speed, Naranjo takes a deliberate pause, embracing a slower, more intentional rhythm that celebrates craftsmanship and human connection.
Rejecting the conventional runway format, the designer shared that “the pressure to impress is immense, and the pace is often too quick.” Instead, he chose to present his vision through a lookbook that invites quiet contemplation rather than applause. His made-to-order philosophy enables a dialogue with his clients, each creation fine-tuned through personal feedback, ensuring every piece feels profoundly individual.
This season, Naranjo explores the harmony between structure and fluidity, using silk and tulle to create garments that move with poetic grace. Wide elastic bands replace traditional tailoring, allowing the body to breathe and flow freely. Notably, the collection’s closure-free construction transforms dressing into an intuitive, effortless ritual, with each garment designed to slip on like a second skin.
Artistic influences run deep throughout the collection, drawing inspiration from Rebecca Horn’s sculptural language and Loïe Fuller’s ethereal dance performances. Fuller’s luminous play of light and motion manifests in Naranjo’s layered tulle and fluid silhouettes, capturing a sense of kinetic beauty.
Among the standout creations is a reimagined stretch T-shirt intricately knotted and sculpted, redefining simplicity into sophistication. Subtle references to historical pannier shapes are given a contemporary twist – romantic yet resolutely modern.
Ernesto Naranjo’s Spring/Summer 2026 presentation stands as a quiet rebellion against excess reaffirmation that fashion, at its core, is about authenticity, connection, and artful storytelling. In his world, clothing is not just worn; it’s felt.
