KAMIYA Autumn/Winter 2026: Koji Kamiya’s 'ACT COOL' Redefines Tokyo Streetwear at Garden Shinkiba Factory
As Tokyo transitions into its Autumn/Winter 2026 rhythm, one name is commanding the city’s industrial skyline: Koji Kamiya, the force behind the rapidly ascendant label KAMIYA.
Presented on 13 February 2026, ACT COOL was more than a seasonal theme; it was an attitude. A manifesto. A cultural pulse check.
Staged inside the raw, brutalist shell of Garden Shinkiba Factory, the show unfolded against concrete textures and industrial shadows, reinforcing KAMIYA’s dialogue between rebellion and refinement. The setting amplified the brand’s DNA: subculture realism fused with intentional design precision.
Following the momentum of his Spring/Summer 2026 presentation, Kamiya continues to push Japanese streetwear beyond its expected codes. This is not nostalgia-driven Harajuku revivalism. Instead, ACT COOL feels sharper, more mature, stripped back, and self-aware. Oversized silhouettes met distressed finishes; utilitarian layering intersected with deliberate tailoring. Every look suggested controlled chaos, coolness without performance.
Founded in 2023 after Kamiya’s tenure with Maison Mihara Yasuhiro and his role within SOSU’s street-driven label MYne, KAMIYA’s trajectory has been nothing short of accelerated. In under three years, the brand has transitioned from insider favourite to global watchlist contender.
Behind the scenes, the creative alignment elevated the narrative:
Styling by Yuji Yasumoto refined the street sensibility with disciplined restraint.
Casting direction by Taka Arakawa of ALTER Casting sharpened the show’s edge.
Show direction by Michio Hoshina (PLANKTON) ensured the industrial energy never felt accidental.
Music by tobi lou pulsed through the concrete venue, grounding the collection in contemporary rhythm while reinforcing its youth-driven undertone.
KAMIYA’s AW26 does not chase validation; it assumes it.
“ACT COOL” isn’t about indifference. It’s about controlled confidence. In a fashion climate often oversaturated with spectacle, Koji Kamiya proposes something subtler: evolution without noise, and Tokyo is listening.
