Claro Couture FW26-27 Collection: Génesis 01 and the Architecture of Modern Couture
Unveiled during Madrid Fashion Week within the luminous setting of Galería de Cristal, Palacio de Cibeles, the Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collection from Claro Couture marked a moment of recalibration. Titled Génesis 01, the proposal by Beatriz Claro and Fernando Claro looked inward, returning to the house’s foundations while refining them through a contemporary lens of precision, wearability, and control.
At the heart of the collection lies the concept of “ergonomic couture,” a philosophy that prioritises the natural movement and structure of the body. Rather than imposing rigid silhouettes, garments are engineered to follow and enhance form. Jackets curve subtly at the waist, skirts trace clean, uninterrupted lines, and layered ensembles achieve balance through proportion rather than excess. The result is a controlled fluidity, architecture softened by intention.
A notable evolution this season emerges through the emphasis on two-piece dressing. Moving away from singular statement gowns, the collection proposes a modular couture wardrobe: tailored trousers paired with structured casacas, skirts matched with sculptural jackets, and dresses layered with crisp shirting. This shift introduces a new versatility, aligning couture craftsmanship with the demands of contemporary occasion dressing.
Materiality reinforces the collection’s quiet richness. Velvet, tweed, and organza provide a structured foundation, while silk embroideries, feather accents, and hand-worked floral details introduce texture without overwhelming the silhouette. The dialogue between weight and lightness is carefully calibrated, ensuring that embellishment remains secondary to construction.
The palette remains deliberately restrained. Black, military green, warm ochre, and nude tones establish a grounded, almost introspective base, punctuated sparingly by cobalt blue, a precise accent that injects vibrancy without disrupting the collection’s composure.
Silhouette, however, remains the defining language. Claro Couture’s enduring focus on the female form is articulated here with heightened clarity. Garments do not seek transformation; instead, they emphasise posture, proportion, and presence. Confidence emerges not through theatrical gestures but through precision and restraint.
Génesis 01 ultimately signals a thoughtful repositioning for the house. By returning to couture technique while embracing a more pragmatic, modular approach to dressing, Claro Couture refines its identity for a shifting landscape. The collection stands as a measured evolution, one that honors tradition while quietly expanding the possibilities of modern elegance.
