Dominnico Fall/Winter 2026 Collection 'This Is Me': Soft Armor and the Power of Vulnerability
Presented at 080 Barcelona Fashion Week, Dominnico marks a decade of design with This Is Me, a Fall/Winter 2026 collection that redefines strength through a language of vulnerability and control. Founded by Domingo Rodríguez Lázaro, the brand has long explored identity through bold, performative expression; this season, that narrative turns inward, offering a more introspective and refined vision.
At the heart of the collection lies the concept of “soft armour", a delicate yet deliberate balance between protection and exposure. Structure and sensitivity are no longer opposing forces but coexist within garments that feel both composed and instinctive. Pastel tones, often associated with fragility, are reimagined as assertive statements, while traditionally dominant materials such as leather are softened, stripped of excess, and shaped with clarity. The result is a silhouette that feels precise without rigidity, confident without force.
Outerwear anchors the collection, particularly through double-faced coats that emphasize adaptability and reversibility, garments designed to shift with the wearer, both physically and emotionally. Leather pieces are streamlined and intentional, while textured denim introduces a subtle disruption, breaking the uniformity of otherwise controlled, monochromatic looks. The brand’s signature moto references reappear, reworked with a heightened sensitivity to proportion and surface.
Colour becomes a central narrative tool. Soft pinks and washed fuchsia are offset by muted blues, mustard tones, and sharp flashes of green, grounded by coconut white and hints of iridescent purple. This interplay resists sentimentality, instead constructing a dialogue between delicacy and assertion, reinforcing the idea that softness can hold its own power.
Beyond aesthetics, This Is Me engages with the broader conversation around identity and consumption. A collaboration with Vinted introduces elements of repurposing and second-hand culture, subtly questioning how identity is curated and performed in a contemporary, image-driven landscape. It is a thoughtful addition that extends the collection’s narrative beyond the runway.
There is a sense of maturity throughout. While certain familiar codes remain, particularly in the moto-inspired pieces, the collection’s strength lies in its clarity and restraint. Dominnico no longer seeks to amplify its message through excess but through precision, allowing each element to speak with intention.
With This Is Me, Dominnico offers a compelling reflection on what it means to be both protected and exposed. It is a collection that understands vulnerability not as weakness but as a form of resilience, an evolving armor that adapts, rather than resists.
