Sergio Davila opened a new chapter during Milan Fashion Week Men’s with the presentation of his Spring Summer 2027 collection at the historic Casa Bagatti Valsecchi. The season reflects a design language refined over twenty-five years of work between New York, Peru, Rome, and beyond, continuing the designer’s exploration of how material, place, and the body can coexist within a contemporary wardrobe.

The collection draws on the cities that have shaped Davila’s perspective. The freedom and individuality of late-1990s San Francisco meet the energy and structure of New York’s Meatpacking District, where he developed his earliest collections in the early 2000s. Peru remains the emotional and material foundation of the work, informing the collection through ancestral craftsmanship, exceptional natural fibers, and a deep connection to artisanal traditions.

A pivotal period spent in Rome between 2025 and 2026 introduced a new sculptural dimension to the season. Inspired by Bernini’s mastery of movement, Davila approaches garments as living forms that open, wrap, and shift around the body. Fluid silhouettes replace rigid construction, creating an elegant sense of motion and ease that feels both modern and deeply considered.

Materiality remains central to the narrative. Vicuña, baby alpaca, Pima cotton, and Tangüis cotton ground the collection in Peruvian textile culture while being reimagined for contemporary dressing. A collaboration with Peruvian illustrator Álvaro Felliu adds a fresh visual layer, introducing warmth, lightness, and a distinctly summery optimism through subtle color and graphic detail.

Presented within the richly decorated rooms of Casa Bagatti Valsecchi, the collection marks Davila’s Milan debut while staying true to the principles that have long defined his work. Spring Summer 2027 is a refined meditation on craftsmanship, identity, and global influence, weaving together the cultural threads of San Francisco, New York, Rome, and Peru into a sophisticated, quietly confident vision of modern menswear.
