Henrik Vibskov SS27 Collection: The Art of Beautiful Disruption
Henrik Vibskov marked 25 years in fashion with his Spring Summer 2027 collection, presented at Copenhagen Fashion Week. The anniversary offered a fitting stage for a designer whose work has continually expanded the vocabulary of Scandinavian fashion through colour, pattern, performance, and an unmistakable sense of curiosity.
For SS27, Vibskov described the present moment as "wobbly", translating that feeling into a world that feels deliberately off-kilter yet remarkably composed. His signature jacquards, graphic motifs, and unexpected pattern combinations remained central, while a more restrained palette gave the collection a sophisticated sense of balance. Relaxed menswear opened the show, followed by skorts, sporty separates, and sculptural outerwear that brought movement and playful functionality to the runway.
The collection's inspiration began with an intimate childhood memory of skin cream, evolving through Vibskov's instinctive chain of associations into the imagery of whipped cream and, eventually, feet. Vintage advertising references featuring toes beneath an umbrella were transformed into surrealist set pieces, including barefoot figures and rotating red and white fabric forms.
As always, Vibskov's multidisciplinary sensibility extended beyond clothing, drawing together fashion, art, music, and performance into one imaginative universe. Twenty-five years into his career, SS27 proves that his most enduring signature is not a particular silhouette or print, but an unwavering willingness to experiment, play with perception, and make the unexpected feel entirely at home.
