Taus Spring Summer 2027 Collection: Between Nightfall and First Light
Taus presented its Spring/Summer 2027 collection at Møstings Hus during Copenhagen Fashion Week's Newtalent One to Watch programme, translating the elusive hour between late night and early morning into a study of quiet sensuality. Dewy, mysterious, and softly melancholic, the collection captures the romance of transition through sculptural tailoring, delicate textures, and an atmosphere suspended between darkness and dawn.
The distinctive Taus vocabulary remains firmly in place, bringing together upcycled materials, structured corsetry, and tailored jackets with archival research and unexpected colour. Among the season's most compelling pieces are a bar jacket in upcycled leather finished with a worn denim trompe l'oeil effect, a sculpted mini dress created from a single burnout velvet silk scarf, and garments reconstructed from nightgowns with adjustable straps that introduce alternative ways of wearing.
A collaboration with Danish jewellery house Pandora further enriches the collection, with distinctive jewellery compositions by Taus and three bespoke looks incorporating Pandora surplus jewellery. The presentation was accompanied by Glitra, an exhibition by Norwegian artist Oscar Eriksson Furunes exploring photographic fragments from queer communities across different times and places, reinforcing the collection's fascination with what is visible, fleeting, and remembered.
Founded in 2024 by Freyja Taus and Juho Lehiö, Taus continues to reinterpret traditional craftsmanship through a contemporary lens, with pieces designed in Denmark and produced in the Copenhagen studio or by selected European artisans. Returning for a third consecutive season to the Newtalent One to Watch programme, the house further establishes its distinctive world, where time, transformation, and the traces of wear become an intrinsic part of beauty.
