Ganni SS27 Collection: The Art of Staying Young
Ganni returned to Paris for Spring/Summer 2027 with a playful presentation that transformed the collection into an immersive celebration of imagination, memory, and self-expression. Designed by photographer and furniture designer Ana Kraš, the setting was intentionally domestic, featuring a bed, refrigerators covered with Polaroids, and an oversized sofa that distorted scale and perspective, mirroring the collection’s fascination with proportion and childhood wonder.
Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup drew on the uninhibited creativity of childhood, describing a desire to hold on to the freedom of simply being without overthinking how others might perceive it. That spirit translates into a wardrobe designed almost like a box of Lego pieces, where garments can be rearranged, adjusted, and combined according to the wearer’s mood.
Customization is woven directly into the clothing through drawstrings, adjustable proportions, and cropped sleeves, allowing silhouettes to change with ease. Even the pointed kitten heels carry a nostalgic reference, recalling the childhood fascination with trying on a mother’s oversized shoes and the sense of wonder that came with inhabiting an adult world.
The collection moves freely between playful nostalgia and contemporary dressing, pairing a Valentine-red denim set with an effortlessly tailored suit, while sheer skirts are layered over printed styles, and shrunken tops and sweaters contrast with distressed denim patched in delicate jacquard. Ruffles add a recurring feminine flourish, while a palette of soft gelato shades is energized by vivid maraschino cherry red.
With Spring/Summer 2027, Ganni embraces the beauty of dressing without rules. Nostalgic yet thoroughly modern, the collection captures a youthful instinct to experiment, layer, and play, proving that growing up does not have to mean leaving imagination behind.
