Ludovica Gualtieri Milano “Grains of Sand” at Milan Loves Seoul 2026
An exclusive OTS Magazine UK fashion report produced in collaboration with our international media partner INSTYLEASIA, bringing the latest Milan Loves Seoul 2026 coverage from Seoul.
In an exclusive fashion report by OTS Magazine UK, produced in collaboration with our international media partner INSTYLEASIA, we spotlight Ludovica Gualtieri Milano and its presentation at Milan Loves Seoul 2026, where Italian design and Seoul's contemporary fashion landscape came together on the runway.
Presented on 3 September at CAVEHOUSE, the opening fashion show formed part of this year's Milan Loves Seoul programme and explored the theme “The Italian Noir Club", bringing the character and elegance associated with Italian noir into dialogue with the energy of Seoul.
At the centre of Ludovica Gualtieri Milano's presentation was “Grains of Sand,” a collection built around the designer's approach to quiet confidence, considered design and fashion created for real life.
The collection moves through structured silhouettes and adaptable forms, with pieces designed to work across the changing rhythms of a modern woman's day. Rather than relying on excessive embellishment, the looks place emphasis on construction, texture, proportion and the relationship between the garment and the woman wearing it.
That sense of understated confidence is particularly visible throughout the collection's outerwear and layered silhouettes. Quilted textures, clean lines and sculptural proportions create a wardrobe that feels contemporary while retaining a distinctly refined Italian sensibility.
Italian Craftsmanship Meets Contemporary Seoul
Ludovica Gualtieri's work sits within the growing conversation around sustainable luxury, bringing material consciousness into a fashion language that remains focused on elegance and wearability.
The designer's background includes studies at Istituto Marangoni and the University of Cambridge, where she studied circular economy, informing a creative direction that connects fashion with a more considered approach to design.
For Milan Loves Seoul, that perspective travelled from Italy to Seoul, placing Italian craftsmanship and contemporary Korean fashion culture within the same conversation.
The result is a collection that feels deliberately restrained, where sophistication comes through silhouette, fabric and functionality rather than excess.
From Milan to Seoul
Milan Loves Seoul's 2026 Seoul edition was created to strengthen cultural and commercial connections between Italian and Korean creative industries, bringing designers, brands, buyers, media and fashion professionals together through runway presentations, showcases and other events.
For Ludovica Gualtieri Milano, the Seoul presentation offered another international setting for Grains of Sand and its vision of sustainable contemporary luxury.
From Milan to Seoul, the collection demonstrates how Italian design can enter a new cultural landscape while maintaining the values at its core: quiet confidence, considered construction and a more conscious approach to luxury.
