Tell us more about yourself and what was life like growing up?
I had a pretty normal childhood. I don’t come from a musical family but I was always surrounded by music.  Music has always been a very important part of my life.
How were you discovered and what was your first big break into the music industry?
One of my best friends introduced me to a music producer and we started working together and making music.  I discovered my love for songwriting.
If you weren’t into singing and acting what would be your career choice?
A professional food taster because I love to eat!  That actually would be a really cool job, but joking aside I wanted to be an English teacher when I was in France.  I was very passionate about the English language.

When did you realize you had a passion for music and songwriting?
I’ve always had a passion for music.  I became very passionate about singing at 14.  I would sing every day after coming home from school.  I couldn’t wait for school to be over so I could come home to sing.  Songwriting came way later.  I wrote one song and then never stopped.  I discovered it’s actually my favorite thing.

What’s one of the most interesting movie shoots that you’ve done?
I shot a movie in the state of Oklahoma so I spent two months there.  It was amazing.  I met more friends there in the short amount of time than anywhere I’ve been.  I really enjoyed being in Middle America.  I have a thing for cowboys.  It’s very exotic for a French girl.  It’s something that I really dig.  I really can’t wait to go back.
How would you define your personal style?
Right now I’m really into high fashion.  I never really cared about fashion in the past but now I don’t know what’s happening to me but I’m obsessed with it.  During the day I like to wear tomboyish clothes like cool baggy pants or sportswear.  And at night it’s more glamorous.  Right now I’m going through a phase where I like everything that’s different and somewhat unique.  And I love hats.  I wear lots of hats and scarves.  And I’m really into sunglasses.
Who is your biggest inspiration in life and who are some of your favorite artists?
Max Martin is a brilliant producer and I think he’s an amazing songwriter.  Some of my favorite artists are Arthur Rimbaud – he’s my favorite poet.  I love Michael Jackson and Madonna.  I’m a big fan of Marilyn Monroe. I saw a documentary about her when I was a kid in France and I became fascinated by her ever since.  I’ve watched all of her movies and that opened the door to my love for the ‘50s.  I absolutely love Marlon Brando and James Dean, Grace Kelly – and also stars from the ‘40s like Veronica Lake and Rita Hayworth.
Who is your style icon?
I love Marilyn Monroe.  I think she’s timeless.
What are your latest and upcoming projects?
I just released my first single “Blackest Darkness  (Nothing At All).”  I’m shooting a movie called “Beautiful Ink” and I’m about to shoot the video for my next single.

Best advice you have ever received is?
Live every day like it’s your last.
What is your mantra?
You can only rely on yourself.  The sooner you realize this the better off you’ll be.
What is your philosophy in life?
I really enjoy the present.  I really don’t think too much about the future.
What advice would you give to upcoming male and female artists or actors looking to find their niche in the movie, music and entertainment industry in general?
Don’t’ give up – no matter what happens.  Don’t listen to when people try to discourage you.  Follow your instincts and believe in yourself.  And work on your craft.
What is your beauty and exercise regimen?
I take really good care of my skin.  I have so many products – you have no idea.  Haha.  I would never go to sleep with makeup on.  It’s very important to always wash my face and moisturize it.  I try to not wear makeup every day – only if I go out at night or if I have an audition.  I also stay away from the sun.  It makes a difference.  I really want to work out every day, even though I’ve been only once this week.  So I need to become more disciplined in working out.
What are your favorite beauty products/what is always carried in your purse?
I always have a lipstick in my purse.  I always have a perfume.  I always carry music in my purse because I’m always listening to music, which can be very annoying to people around me sometimes.
Acting or singing: what are your favorite things about each job?
Acting – I love the feeling of when I lose myself in a character, and when there is no separation between me and the character.  That makes me feel very free in a way.
Singing – I love the fact that it’s so creative.  I write my own songs.  Coming up with an idea and then seeing it come to life is quite an amazing feeling.
Any other thing you would like to add?
I hope that people like and can relate to my single “Blackest Darkness.”
