It's no news that we at OTSM are Chanelistas - if that's even a word but if not, it now belongs to Us.
The Chanel SS23 RTW collection was such a MOOD. I don't even know where to start or where to look but all I can say is ~WOWzers...

Chanel’s Virginie Viard is the creative force behind a stealthy re-imagining of Chanel, This collection shows she is honoring Gabrielle Chanel's legacy. This time, she and long-time collaborators Inez and Vinoodh, set their sights on a 1961 black-and-white film by Alain Resnais, titled L’Année Dernière à Marienbad, which not only won the Lion d'Or at the Venice film festival but it also included designs from Gabrielle Chanel herself, but all we can say is Virginie took it to the next level. I am talking starry night skies on fabric to pink, plaid, and even polka dots came out to play on the runway.

I am a huge lover of anything monochromatic because of the nostalgic feeling it gives me and I think Chanel blew my mind with this collection.
Here are a few of our favorites below and some beautiful Coco Chanel quotes to help you digest it all:

"Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman."
"In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different."
"Fashion changes, but style endures."
"Fashion has two purposes: comfort and love. Beauty comes when fashion succeeds."
"Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance."
"I don't do fashion. I am fashion."
"You can be gorgeous at thirty, charming at forty, and irresistible for the rest of your life."

"Elegance does not consist in putting on a new dress."
"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."
"Adornment, what a science! Beauty, what a weapon! Modesty, what elegance!"
"A woman can be overdressed but never over-elegant."
