World Mental Health Day: Your Mental Health Should Matter Everyday. (Quotes To Live By).

by - 17:04:00

When it comes to your mental health, it's not a destination, it's a process, it's about how smoothly you drive, not just about where you are going, it's mainly about you, because you matter.
We at OTSM envisage a society in which mental health problems are an acceptable part of human experience, we feel and believe that everyone is worthy of Self-Love.
Once mental health becomes recognized as essential to physical health, only then will we have access to complete and modern medicine.
Remember in an acute crisis or an emergency, don’t hesitate to call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 0800-689-5652, or text “SHOUT” to 85-258

I want you to know that there is hope even when your brain tells you there isn't and just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you doesn't mean you can, or should, or need to do it alone, know that you are not alone and it's okay not to be okay. Embrace the lows like it's a natural cycle. There is a season and time for everything and this applies to your personal healing, It should not be rushed, it should not be pushed aside just because it makes someone else uncomfortable.
Never think for a moment that you are alone in this fight, the fact people are trying to make you feel like you are weird for feeling that way, or for not letting go of that past trauma that's their perception and mentality, only you know where it hurts and no one should make you feel inferior about yourself without your consent.
How do I take back my power you ask? Self-Care is the answer. In today's world, people try to make you feel like taking care of yourself is selfish but that is the opposite because for you to give love you have to feel loved especially by yourself.
You are worthy of the same love you are trying to give everyone else, so whoever or whatever makes you have to pretend like you are okay, normal, and over-confident when you know for a fact that on the inside you feel choked up, you have the right to distance yourself from that person, environment or situation.
It is okay if all you decide to do today is "Survive", just breathe and know that you are doing the best you can. Be kind to yourself because your Mental Health is a priority. Know that You are Enough.

Here are some quotes to show you that you are not alone in the journey and it's alright to speak your truth, it's okay to seek help and it's also okay to deal with it in the way that suits you best:
