Italian luxury streetwear label Palm Angels has made another major announcement. Palm Angels, launched in 2015 by creative director Francesco Ragazzi, has in fact presented its first fine jewellery collection, consisting of four unique pieces, handmade by London jeweller Duffy and sold exclusively at the label's newly opened Los Angeles pop-up store.

The line has been “inspired by nature waking up in the night, with its indistinct noises,” and it aims to convey “the label's eclectic vision, based on a constant game of contrasts, where originality meets boldness,” said Palm Angels in a press release.

“Creating a fine jewellery collection is a dream come true. I have always been fascinated by the art of goldsmithing, especially its most ancient examples, where expert hands expressed their knowledge of ancient symbols through unique jewels,” said Ragazzi.

Each piece in the Palm Angels High Jewellery collection is handmade, and some of them are named after a rhetorical figure: from the Oxymoron bracelet (in 18-carat gold, with a cross-bone mesh motif, set with natural pink and yellow sapphires, tsavorites, garnets and amethysts), to the Antithesis bracelet (in 18-carat gold and silver, with colourful gems and a snake-shaped central motif), the Pleasuredome necklace (in 18-carat yellow and white gold, with bone and insect motifs, set with sapphires, black and champagne-coloured diamonds), and the Allegoria pendant (in yellow and white 18-carat gold, with lacquered leaf patterns, and butterfly and snake designs).

The jewels are the fruit of the collaboration between Ragazzi and London jeweller Duffy, which has handcrafted each of the four pieces in its London workshop. The prices range from $29,000 to $59,000.
