Bally FW25: A Masterclass in Duality and Avant-Garde Precision
For Fall Winter 2025-2026, Simone Bellotti orchestrated a striking meditation on contrast, tension, and transformation. Set against the dramatic skyline of Milan from the 17th floor of Torre Velasca, the intimate show embodied a compelling dialogue between discipline and artistic liberation, pushing Bally further into the realm of modern luxury.
Titled Leistung Aufführung, the collection dissected the multifaceted nature of performance—both as rigorous craftsmanship and theatrical self-expression. Bellotti’s vision unfolded through a series of juxtapositions, drawing from archival imagery of Bally’s artisans and the flamboyant, boundary-pushing aesthetic of Swiss performance artist Luciano Castelli. The result was a collection charged with paradox, where precision met rebellion and tradition collided with modernity.
Structure and movement wove seamlessly together. Rigid tailoring was unexpectedly softened by voluminous fur accents, while slashed leather skirts revealed glimpses of fluidity beneath sharp lines. Hourglass-shaped dresses, their rigid front inserts echoing the form of work desks, blurred the line between function and artistic impracticality. Sequins, inspired by Castelli’s opulent drag personas, shimmered across berets, voluminous skirts, and metallic-threaded tops, amplifying the interplay of restraint and excess. Models adorned in sequined makeup underscored the collection’s subversive edge, standing in stark contrast to the architectural severity of sharply tailored coats.
Bellotti’s Bally is not merely a revival—it is an evolution. Embracing the tension between instinct and precision, he liberates the house from its rigid heritage, crafting a future where structure and spontaneity coexist in a state of dynamic elegance.
