Dolce & Gabbana FW25: A Love Letter to the Cool Girl
For Fall Winter 2025-2026, Dolce & Gabbana rewrote the rules of the runway, transforming a Milanese street into a high-energy spectacle where urban grit met high fashion. Elevated above the city due to ongoing construction, the stage became an impromptu platform for a show that blurred the lines between insider exclusivity and real-world accessibility, captivating both the fashion elite and street-side spectators alike.
Titled Cool Girls, the collection paid homage to the effortless, off-duty style of top models—those who instinctively mix vintage treasures with luxury staples. Departing from their recent focus on couture and opulence, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana instead embraced a more spontaneous, lived-in aesthetic, reviving echoes of their beloved early-2000s D&G diffusion line with a refined, contemporary twist.
Plush shearling, engineered to mimic the texture of fur, lined oversized outerwear and fringed ponchos, lending a sense of nonchalant luxury. Cargo pants and distressed denim received a high-glam update with crystal embellishments, effortlessly bridging casualwear with Dolce & Gabbana’s signature drama. The collection unfolded in two acts: relaxed, layered ensembles for daytime cool, followed by glistening slip dresses—draped in crystal—ushering in an after-dark allure.
The soundtrack, curated by Victoria De Angelis of Måneskin, pulsed through the open-air venue, amplifying the collection’s rebellious spirit with a beat worthy of underground clubs and late-night escapades.
