Alexandre Herchcovitch FW25/26: A Nocturnal Revival of Club Culture and Couture Codes
For Fall/Winter 2025–2026, Alexandre Herchcovitch returned to the São Paulo Fashion Week runway with an electrifying showcase that blurred the lines between nostalgia, rebellion, and reinvention. Staged at the iconic Blue Space nightclub—revered for its drag performances and subversive energy—the venue set the tone for a collection that celebrated counterculture while refining the codes of the Herchcovitch; Alexandre brand.
In this second act under his revitalized label, Herchcovitch fused the visual language of club life with refined craftsmanship. Garments lit up under black light, thanks to strategically placed Swarovski crystal embroideries and responsive fabrics—an ode to the designer’s 1990s origins when rave culture and underground nightlife served as creative fuel.
Silhouettes, however, reached further back in time. The collection leaned into a 1970s sensibility with oversized rugby-striped t-shirts turned dresses, flowing bias-cut gowns, wide-legged tailoring, and plush materials like corduroy and low-key plaid flannels. The juxtaposition of these earthy textures with ultraviolet shimmer created a tension between past and present that felt distinctly Herchcovitch.
Details were sculptural and unexpected: twisted sleeves, reengineered pocket placements, and long coats with architectural fastenings brought structural intrigue. Obi-like sashes adorned waistlines and hemlines, softening the silhouettes with a quiet theatricality.
From stark black looks with sharp cutouts to an updated latex signature crafted from ethically sourced Amazonian rubber, the collection seamlessly bridged eras. Fluorescent flourishes and sustainable innovation further anchored this season as both a homage and a bold leap forward.
Alexandre Herchcovitch continues to reassert his presence as a visionary whose work pulses with cultural memory while evolving the vernacular of Brazilian fashion. FW25/26 was not merely a show—it was a luminous manifesto of past, present, and the unapologetically unconventional.
