Philipp Plein Resort 2026: Crystal Nights at Carlton Beach Club
Philipp Plein unveiled his Resort 2026 collection at the legendary Carlton Beach Club in Cannes—a glamorous shift from his traditional garden setting, prompted by the threat of inclement weather. Nestled on the French Riviera and just steps from the Cannes Film Festival, the venue proved an effortlessly cinematic stage for a collection that celebrated decadence, drama, and unapologetic femininity.
Presented as a womenswear-only offering, the sixteen-look lineup paid homage to cocktail and eveningwear with a signature Plein twist: extravagance with edge. Each design embodied the spirit of high-octane glamour, serving a clientele that demands presence, precision, and unapologetic dazzle.
From floor-grazing sequined gowns to abbreviated silhouettes carved in python-embossed sparkle, the collection radiated luxury. One standout—a black dress hand-embroidered with red stones—spoke to the artisanal intensity behind the scenes, while another, a sculptural mini dripping in sequins and crowned with a three-dimensional serpent motif, fused couture craftsmanship with daring sensuality.
Sparkling embellishments reigned throughout: strass-drenched suede separates, crystal-encrusted A-line dresses, and a particularly striking interpretation of matelassé rendered entirely in rhinestones elevated surface detail into spectacle. While Plein’s signature structure remained central, fluid, draped gowns introduced a softer narrative, tempering the collection’s intensity with movement and ease.
Resort 2026 reaffirmed Philipp Plein’s command of bold, lavish dressing, where each piece is more than attire—it’s a statement. In a season defined by cinematic allure and Riviera elegance, Plein offered his own vision: a crystalline homage to power, poise, and the pleasures of dressing to be seen.
