Alis SS26 Collection: Rooted in Rhythm
For Spring/Summer 2026, Copenhagen-based label Alis delivered a collection that felt both grounded and uplifted—an homage to street culture, skate heritage, and the subtle poetry of everyday movement. Shown during Copenhagen Fashion Week SS26, the collection was a nod to the brand’s urban roots while expanding its language to include softness, adaptability, and soulful precision.
The setting was raw yet intentional—a skate ramp repurposed into a runway, where models moved with a natural swagger that felt like an echo of Alis’ origins in Copenhagen’s underground. But this wasn’t nostalgia. It was evolution.
Alis SS26 explored contrasts—fluid vs structured, protective vs breathable, masculine silhouettes softened with grace. Boxy cargo jackets shared space with relaxed suiting, while mesh knits and windbreakers were layered with asymmetrical tanks and deconstructed jerseys. The collection leaned into motion—not just in form, but in feeling. There was a kinetic energy to it, like the air between kick and land on a skateboard.
Color-wise, the palette spoke in the language of dusk and pavement—slate, ash, faded navy, soft moss, and muted peach—offset with occasional bursts of yellow and rust, like street signs catching sunset light. Fabrics were intentionally durable but never rigid—organic cotton, recycled poly blends, and waxed denim softened by repeated wear.
Details stood out for their utilitarian clarity: oversized pockets, hand-stitched tags, and nods to skate hardware like metal grommets and grip tape textures subtly woven into accessories. Footwear was a highlight—chunky-soled sneakers and reinterpreted slide-ons in hemp and rubber composites.
What gave the show its unexpected tenderness was the styling—a kind of ease that let the clothes speak without aggression. Some looks felt like uniforms for quiet rebels; others like meditations on comfort and community. The final walk wasn’t grand, but genuine. Models didn’t just walk—they moved like they belonged there, like the city was watching.
With SS26, Alis reminded the fashion world that streetwear doesn’t need to shout. It can observe. It can reflect. And above all, it can grow.
