Bibhu Mohapatra embarked on a deeply personal exploration, shifting away from his usual muses to reflect on his own journey. Titled The Pilgrimage, the collection was an intimate tribute to his roots in Odisha, India, and a heartfelt homage to his late parents and brother for Fall/Winter 2025-2026.

It is clear from looking at Mohapatra's recent corpus of work that he prefers geometry. A skirt with square cuts self-drapes unevenly on both sides. A sharply cut dress in two tones of black and green with accents has a refreshingly simple geometric appeal. Similar to this, a white column dress with a fringed cape back, horizontal bust darts, and emphasis on structure over ornamentation. But altogether, this was a substantial collection. Floor-length hems and sleeves that drip are more probable to bind the wearer than to release her.
