Miguel Becer’s Spring Summer 2025 collection for ManéMané redefines modern nostalgia, blending folkloric charm with a playful indie sleaze spirit. Known for his ability to merge simplicity with a hint of chaos, Becer crafts a lineup that resonates with both comfort and avant-garde flair. This season, his inspiration draws from early 2000s music culture, infusing elements of American college style with an indie edge.
Feben drew inspiration for their Spring Summer 2025 collection, Reign, from the wet British summertime and the transformational potential of vulnerability. The collection, which drew inspiration from the life of deaf flamenco dancer Antonia Singla, celebrated resiliency and the capacity to overcome hardship and rise above it all. This was shown in the densely fringed jersey pieces that were meant to move dynamically and were reminiscent of the rhythmic intensity of flamenco, as well as the flowing v-neck and single-strapped white cotton dresses with dropping waists and flounced hems.
Although Christopher Esber's grand prize win at the 2024 ANDAM in June may have been his proudest moment, the Australian designer wasn't going to sit back and take it all in. Before his second presentation in the city, Esber said backstage before his Spring Summer 2025 show in Paris, "I felt a lot of pressure to make it something I'm really proud about and feels worthy of the win."
Designer Ashlynn Park debuted her Spring Summer 2025 collection at the Cristina Grajales Gallery, accompanied by a carefully chosen assortment of gallery-owned design items. Park's method for the season, which she referred to as "revisiting the history of fashion," was mirrored in this thoughtful blending of the old and new. Citing fashion luminaries like Christian Dior, Azzedine Alaïa, Madame Grès, and her old mentor Yohji Yamamoto, Park used historical inspiration to tackle contemporary issues. She said, "The solutions and answers are frequently already there [in the past]."
