Having previously featured Japanese-Korean actress Hyunri in an exclusive interview back in 2021, OTS Magazine is delighted to see her continuing her remarkable rise on the international stage.

As reported by our editorial partners at InStyle Asia, Hyunri has officially joined the cast of Disney+'s global hit K-drama A Shop for Killers Season 2, taking on the role of "Q," the formidable leader of the East Asia branch of the mysterious assassin syndicate known as Babylon.

Joining her is acclaimed Japanese actor Masaki Okada, who has been cast as "J," Q's younger brother and co-leader of the East Asia mercenary faction. Together, the siblings are set to introduce an exciting new dynamic as the Babylon network expands beyond Seoul, with the latest season filmed in Bangkok, Thailand, reflecting the series' growing international scale.

Returning to lead the action-packed thriller are fan favourites Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye-jun, with the highly anticipated second season premiering worldwide on July 22, 2026, exclusively on Disney+.

Born and raised in Tokyo, Hyunri has steadily built an impressive international career through acclaimed performances in productions including Netflix's Alice in Borderland and Apple TV+'s Pachinko. Fluent in Japanese, Korean and English, she continues to bridge cultures through her work, earning recognition as one of the industry's most versatile global talents.
